Made this available to stray kitty in our neighborhood that won’t let anyone get near him/her to adopt. She is Leary of it. I think the tripod raccoon that comes around is likely to crawl in it before the kitty. Escape door a must as we have predators. I would not have purchased if it had no escape door. Pad does get warm to touch. Highly recommend for outdoor cats that are not skittish to try it. One cat only. It is small. Sturdy, easy to assemble. Overall good quality for the sale price I paid for it.
