The ust House Party car Camping Tent is a great product for our light car camping trips. I would not call it 'heavy duty waterproof construction', it's fine, but it's not exactly a tank. It has storage pockets for easy access to all of our belongings. I really opens up, so this is good if you are like on sand, and also want a breezeThe house party tent unfortunately just didn't impress me. The price leaves a slight sour taste in my mouth. I was just expecting more for something that is $300+. My last tent impressed me much more and I got it for $20 at the thrift store. It had enough room for a queen sized air bed and plenty of space left over for our dogs, camping equipment n etc. I'm a bit puzzled at how this is marketed as a 4 person tent when the description photos only show two sleeping bags that fill up the entire floor. My husband and I tried to imagine 2 extra kids in here and it would be a tight fit. There would be no room for anything else but sleeping bags, no large air beds or maybe one twin sized air bed that everyone would have to sleep on as you'd need room to walk. The kids would need to be small as pre teens would just feel way too crowded. This feels more like a 2 person tent in order to really feel comfortable. Perhaps maybe I'm a bit spoiled from coming from such a large tent which might reflect my opinion. However I'm trying to be as opened minded as possible.Pros:1. It's not too heavy to carry but I wouldn't want to carry it long distances. It's better suited to be walking distance to your car.2. Set up, this is the area where this tent really shines at. It's an absolute breeze to set up and take down. It comes with color coded tent poles of blue and sort of a gold yellow. The instructions are sewn into the bag which is pretty cool but it's not very clear. Luckily it's extremely easy to figure out. Simply thread the blue tent poles in the blue colored fabric and the gold into the yellow fabric and you've got it up in no time. Helps to have someone help you though. The rest is simply staking the guy lines. It comes with all the stakes you need to get that tent firmly secure.3. Everything comes neatly in it's own bag. The tent poles have their own carry bag, the stakes have a small carry bag as well. Then the large tent bag is designed so that no matter how messy you fold it back down, it will still fit in the bag thanks to the adjustable straps that clip together and no zipper.4. Quality & Aesthetics. The tent and all its tools to set up the tent all appear to be of great quality. It's also waterproof, sturdy even without the guy lines, but once they're staked in it feels really secure. Every aspect of the this set up is super colorful & bright which gives you a happy feeling. The tent, the poles, the carry bags even down to the guy lines are all beautifully bright & vivid rather than being dark & stale.Cons:1. Design, I just feel it's too simplistic for the the price. It's really just a colorful hollow shelter, there's no room dividers or anything that really wows you. While I appreciate the inclusion of the 8 identical sized mesh pockets. There's two in each corner, they're a bit too high. Most people will be sitting down or laying down in the tent so a few more lower enclosed pockets of different sizes would be beneficial so that when you're ready to go to sleep you can simply put your media devices & accessories away + be in arms reach of a flashlight.2. Another design issue, while the tent will be nice & airy when you unzip the side flaps to reveal the mesh windows, you cannot access the zipper from inside, you must go outside to unzip or close. This will not be fun during a sudden downpour where you have to run outside to zip down the side flaps getting soaked & tracking that water right back inside with you.3. Size, I do like that it's tall enough for me at 5'2 to walk around standing up with no issue, my husband at 5'9 can stand in the middle, but anyone taller will be crouching which I get comes with the fun of camping the feeling of getting into your cozy little shelter out in the wilderness. But for the price, I'd expected a little luxury in that it would be tall enough to not crouch at all for anyone 6ft or smaller. Plus it doesn't feel like a 4 person tent at all, there's little room once you're inside and fully zipped in. You will really feel like authentic camping with just sleeping bags and a lantern. In these modern days we bring much more with us now.4. Price, I don't know if I can feel comfortable paying this kind of price for what's offered here. I am surprised an outside waterproof door mat wasn't included since you would need to go out to unzip or zip a lot, so too prevent tracking too much a mat should be included at this price. I guess it really comes down to preference and what you're looking for in a tent. If you want quality and want the experience of feeling like you're authentically camping with the barest & minimalist of essentials, then this tent would be a good choice for that. However I don't feel there's enough to justify the price. There are better choices .This is a great tent for a family. The pictures do not do theust House Party car Camping Tent with Single Layer Design, Heavy Duty Waterproof Construction and Storage Pockets for Backpacking, Camping, justice. It is huge! You really need to set it up to see how roomy it is. It has some very spacious dimensions. The material is durable and lightweight – making it only 14.5 pounds. It is exactly what it says it is – a car camping tent. Once you pack it up it folds down surprisingly small. I really like the bright, vibrant color scheme – it just makes it a fun tent. The seams are stitched nicely and it looks to be fully waterproof (thought I have not had rain to test it.) the poles are color coded and the stakes are pretty solid – not flimsy at all. Both front and back panels zip fully open so on a nice day, you can let the breeze blow through the tent, plus there is nice cross ventilation on the sides. I like the built in pockets at each of the corners to keep small items contained and easily accessible. The tent is a single wall design. The top half of each side is mesh, allowing plenty of airflow and being open to the night sky when you can. The bottom half of the walls and the ceiling strip are made of durable polyester, ensuring privacy and weather protection. Fully staking out the sides makes the interior expand. A nice touch is the rainfly over the doors to prevent water from coming in during rain. The instructions are sewn into the bag, and I find that ust does not do a great job on writing clear instructions. If you have set up a tent before, you will be ok, but you definitely want to set this up once or twice in the backyard to ensure you know what you are doing before you take it on a camping trip. Overall I definitely can recommend this tent. The bright colors, open floor space, enormous amount of headroom, and quick setup (once you are familiar with it) makes it a definite plus for a family or group of friends for a car camping trip.
