We purchased this since it looked more modern than the wire cages, and we love it. The clear sides make it so easy to watch your pet! So easy to clean and putting it together was so simple. If you are looking for something new and different for your pet, that really looks great in any room of your house....this is for you! I will never go back to the wire cages again.Only negative thing about the cage is that it could be easier to clean but it’s still overall easy clean. Great view of your hamster/mouse/rat/etc. 5 out of 5 stars.This cage is definitely too small for a Syrian/teddy bear hamster to live in om its own but it is deep so works well for a good burrow space which is a must for hamsters. I plan on stacking a second one on top to give extra space, as well as having a playpen and "vacation home" cage for my girl so she stays entertained and gets in adequate exercise. The nice thing about these cages are that they are stackable so you can make it nearly as tall as you'd like though I don't know how sturdy they are so be cautious. The design is sleek and the compact size makes it a good choice for small living spaces, as long as additional space is provided for your hamsterIt was easy to assemble. Bit smaller than I thought. But it's a nice cage.The cheap plastic clip that keeps the front door closed breaks off every time we open it. It's easy to pop back on, but it shouldn't be breaking off each time.Despite the having great features, I'm giving this cage a 1-star rating overall due to the misrepresentation of its floorspace. That is inexcusable.This enclosure was advertised explicitly as having 420 square inches of floor space (see attached screenshot). However, this area is based off the cage's exterior measurements take around its widest points, rather than its interior measurements (the interior measurements would provide a more accurate area). This cage's interior measurements is approx 15.5 x 24.5 sq inches which yields an area of 379.75 square inches.That said, even if the cage actually did have the advertised 420 square inches, it would still be undersized. Hamsters generally need at least 450 square inches of floorspace. Cages smaller than that may be used on a temporary basis for travel or for recovering from illness--they may also be used on a more permanent basis for geriatric and/or special needs hamsters that have a hard time getting around a larger enclosure. (I personally purchased this cage for an elderly hamster with neurological issues and a known history of not fully utilizing larger enclosures.)Size issues aside..5 stars for ease of assembly:It was indeed incredibly easy to assemble by myself (took less than 5 minutes)!5 stars for ease of cleaning:Being constructed of acrylic, you can clean it simply by wiping it down with soft, damp cloth or rinsing it under running water).3 stars for sturdiness:It's made out of acrylic--acrylic scuffs up easily, cracks easily, and will eventually turn yellow and brittle if you leave it somewhere sunny.The cage itself is extremely well-constructed and was packed very carefully for shipping--unfortunately, one corner did arrive with a huge chip in it, rendering it unsafe to use (I will be returning this cage). This isn’t particularly surprising because again, acrylic is very brittle. Damage aside, the latches feel secure, the acrylic is crystal clear with no sharp edges, and the wooden feet are actually made out of real wood. There doesn't appear to be any concerning gaps little dwarf hamster paws might get trapped in, either (I can't speak for Syrian hamsters, as I've only ever kept dwarf hamsters). If only it had at least 450 square inches!Finally, I know that BUCATSTATE has much larger enclosures (approx 775 square inches and up) available in Asian markets, and I hope that they make those available in the US, too. This style of cage is aesthetically pleasing, relatively easy to clean, and generally unavailable outside of Asia. I think that they would be very popular amongst US-based hamster owners if the largest sizes were made available for purchase here.Loved it so much bought two. I love that it's modular. I bought other products from this brand and quality is great.my ayrian male hamster is happy. His last cage was a 10 gallon tank & this cage is much widet & is easy to open & assemble. exactly as pictured & lighter than an aquarium. Happy owner & small animal.
