I bought this tree with my fingers crossed as I could not find any reviews on it. It arrived in 2 days! I am so glad I took a chance on it because I am absolutely in love with it! I swear it looks just like a short needle fir tree blanketed in snow! The flocking is pure white like freshly fallen snow. I did not want a pre-lit tree either. They are heavy and a pain to deal with if lights start go out. And I enjoy putting on the lights anyway. This tree is not heavy and is easy to assemble. It has 4 parts which are labeled A thru D. D is the bottom section. A is the top. Yes, it is a bit messy with pieces of flocking falling during assembly but a vaccuum sucks it up fine. The tree comes in a box which is in a second box with handles. I threw away the inner box and kept the outer box for storing the tree after Christmas.I arranged the branches of the tree as I put on each section. There really was not a lot of adjusting to do because this is the kind of tree where the branches lay more flat. It has a shorter row of branches between each longer row of branches. I love that! It makes it seem more real. And because of the way the branches are, it makes this tree an ornament (or garland) lovers dream come true! There is tons of room for ornaments and they can dangle because of the spacing of the branches. So many artificial trees have branches and needles that are so thick--instead of dangling ornaments, they just sort of lay against the tree--I love when they have room to dangle and be seen and enjoyed! Love this tree!I also love the slimness of this tree. It fits in my small space perfectly. It's slim but not at all "pencil" looking like some of the narrower trees on the market. Description of this tree said 50 inches but it actually is 45 inches. I have my tree against a wall. Now if you wanted it to be pushed back further to fit your space, the extended long branches sticking out from the bottom row could easily be bent sideways so then it would be under 40 inches from a wall.I would love if Vickerman's would make this exact tree without flocking (and without lights). Don't get me wrong, I love the snow covered look of this tree but the shape of this tree with the way the branches are would be perfect with tinsel. I am 61 and grew up with trees shaped like this and covered in tinsel. With this tree the tinsel could dangle too instead of lay on the tree. It would be so pretty too. Anyway, I LOVE this tree! So very glad I bought it! I think it is perfection! I didn't even decorate it right away because I loved looking at it just the way it was out of the box--all snow covered and real looking!
